This is Eddie & Lacey.
They met in college, and this is what Lacey had to say about their beginning:
“We met in class where I sat beside him and instantly fell for that perfect smile of his. We became friends by chatting before class and making fun of people in class, and I knew I wanted to learn more about this man. I wanted to date and “get serious” but he wasn’t ready. We remained friends and when I transferred down to WSU we started hanging out again and this time the tables were turned. I was enjoying college life and just wanted to have fun. Eddie then went off to boot camp where we would write each other letters. When he came home we went out to Max and Ermas and I remember sitting at the table completely tuning out what he was talking about just thinking how this felt so right. And he had the same feeling. We’ve been together since.”
Their love is palpable, and i love how comfortable they are together. Eddie was only home on leave for a short time, and Lacey wanted to do a fun session that embodied the countryside, and reminded her of her childhood. We went to a family friend’s lovely home, and they played in the field, ate corn and watermelon, and snuggled in her great grandma’s quilt. Eddie is back in Iraq now, defending our freedom. He will be home soon, and in the meantime, their love and courage grows.
my fav. the way Lacey looks at him. (sigh)
and watching the sun dip behind the field of golden hay is just as good as any ocean sunset…
Pray for Eddie’s safe return, and that the time will fly for Lacey. I hope you have a beautiful Thursday.
xo.
What a fun session in the cornfields. They look like they adore each other. Lovely photos. Carla
